Tahoma has a soft citrus aroma and is ideal for bittering thanks to high levels of both Alpha and Beta acids. It brings accents of lemon and grapefruit with undertones of orange and hings of cedar and works well in both ales and lagers.
This hop variety was initially released in 2013 by the USDA and Washington State University. Tahoma is the daughter of Glacier with a higher Alpha acid content than its parent. The low cohumulone contents gives a subtle yet lovely lemon citrus aroma and woody, spice undertones.Ā
Ideal for use in pale lagers, blonde ales and even more hoppier styles like IPAs.
