Sweet orange peel powder is traditionally added to belgian beers such as witbiers if you are looking for a brighter more orange-forward flavour and aroma.
When added in similar quantities to bitter orange peel it produces a strong orange and citrus flavour.
Sweet orange peel is normally added to during the last 15 minutes of the boil. The dosage varies between styles from 8-24 grams per 20 litres. It can also be added during primary fermentation to maximise the aroma of your beer.
For a more subtle citrus flavour then bitter orange peel powder can be used in addition to or instead of sweet orange peel powder.
