A premium malt produced from 2-row barley which has the right nitrogen content and has been gently kilned to preserve enzyme content and activity. This results in a malt which has both high extract and diastatic power making an excellent malt for high yield, good flavour single malt whiskey.

Distillers malt will add malty, sweet flavours to the finished whiskey.
This malt is primarily suited to single malt distilling however it can be used in conjunction with peat smoked malt of manuka smoke malt to make a more smokey or peat whiskey which would be more akin to a scotch whiskey.
